Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview on thursday in Ankara  that"I think if there is a party that needs to apologize, it is not us," he said. "Those who violated our airspace are the ones who need to apologize. Our pilots and our armed forces, they simply fulfilled their duties, which consisted of responding to ... violations of the rules of engagement. I think this is the essence."Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday dismissed "emotional" and "unfitting" suggestions that projects with Russia could be canceled following Turkey's downing of a Russian warplane near the Syrian border.

BREAKING NEWS:Death sentences for two opposition leaders for war crimes in bangladesh.

Thousands of extra police and border guards have been deployed in Dhaka and other major cities and towns of Bangladesh in advance of a general strike called to protest against the executions of two opposition politicians for war crimes.Security was especially tight in the hometowns of the two executed men whose funerals were held on Sunday morning.Supporters of the ruling Awami League greeted the executions - carried out at Dhaka's Central Prison shortly before 1am on Sunday - by holding street parties and distributing sweets to children.
